The Darkness - Street Spirit
Is this a Radiohead cover? Oh yes, this is a Radiohead cover.
They played this when I saw them at Glastonbury 2003! Hurrah that they finally recorded it.

I swore I had a studio recording of this from years ago, but it’s just a well-recorded BBC live version. Anyway, it’s awesome.
Unfortunately, I’m streaming the album now, and the first track lacks the subtlety of, say, a “Holding My Own,” and I’m not being facetious. Much of Permission to Land’s greatness comes from the double-entendres being so thoroughly developed. Practically every line in “Growing on Me” supports both the infatuation reading and the venereal disease/crabs reading. That’s damn clever.
And there’s also the fact that “Friday Night” is the best Raspberries song since 1974.
Charli XCX covering “I Want It That Way.”
